• Option B: Protecting the Public Health: Environmental Health of a
Community
• Collect data from multiple sources about your community of interest
• Identify and research an environmental health hazard in the community
• Write a detailed report of your findings
• Develop a Power Point slide presentation which could be given to citizen
group in the community.
• Voice over PPT is encouraged
• The Power Point presentation should be brief and geared towards a citizen audience
• The final slide should be a risk communication/social marketing slide that captures the
interest of the audience regarding the environmental hazard
